The School started in Bailey's Bungalow by the Rev. Benjamin Bailey.

Modification of Adam Hall and renaming as 'Great Hall' for conducting Assemblies as a means of maintaining the right kind of discipline.
Structural alteration of a part of Principal's Bungalow to provide boarding facilities to 50 students.
Admission of girl students in the Intermediate classes for the first time. (High School has remained purely a boys institution)
Proposal to raise the College as First Grade College. This led to the idea that the School must be shifted elsewhere to facilitate the expansion of the College.
There was a salary cut for the teachers and staff as the School was in debt.
A separate governing body was constituted for the High School and the Principal of the College was relieved of the office of the Manager.
Mr. Korulla John was appointed as the Manager.
Correspondant School Song adapted.
On the 15th of April the 133 year old C. M. S. College High School bid farewell to its home on Fenn's Hill and shifted to the Bailey's Hill and housed in the buildings of the Cambridge Nicholson Institution - actually a return to its original home of 1817.
The Assembly Hall was completed.
A. V. George Stadium was completed and was inaugurated by the Kerala Governor Mr. P. Ramakrishan Rao.
V. Krishnamoorthy obtained the First Rank in the state in matriculation examination of 1957 (He later became the Chief Secretary of Kerala).
The School came under the Madhya Kerala Diocese of Church of South India.
Triple Jubilee Celebrations (150 years).
Completion of the new Hostel Building - a jubilee project.
A spacious sports pavillion constructed at the southern end of the stadium.

Laid the foundation stone for the Jubilee Memorial building completed the 1st phase in 1995.
Selected as the best aided high school in Kottayam educational district.
Started the Computer Center.

The School was upgraded into a Higher Secondary School, admitting both boys and girls.
Girls were admitted in high school classes.
For the first time in the history of the institution a lady was appointed as the Head of the Institution.
